Karin Vanderhoof – President

Karin moved to Wisconsin as part of a military family in the late sixties. She went on her first unchaperoned date with her then high school sweetheart to the Necedah Queen of the Holy Rosary Shrine and hiking to the tower in the Necedah National Wildlife Refuge. A few years later they brought their two young daughters to Necedah where they would spend their childhood and be educated in the public school system. Throughout the years, in addition to being wife and mother she added to the family income working in a manufacturing/production setting in a nearby town. She was a Main Street presence briefly in 2011 and then again since her husbands passing in 2017. In 2021 she acknowledged at a chamber meeting during elections that she wasn’t doing anything on Wednesday nights and then subsequently became the new chamber of commerce president and has held that seat ever since.

In addition to being the Chamber President, Karin also currently serves an office in the Friends of Juneau County Community organization, and is a member of The Community Action Team and the Juneau County Economic Development Corporation.

Karin’s duties per the bylaws are straight forward; Preside at all meetings of the organization, appoint committees with board approval, and serve ex-official on all committees. She has learned a lot and is grateful to the many that have joined in the opportunity to be a part of the chambers continued growth.

Karen states “What is not written in the bylaws is the opportunities I receive to make a difference in my small corner of the world. Our small town and everything about it is where I want to be. Please consider this amazing opportunity come February elections! Time to grow!!”
